Endoscopies

Endoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure used to examine the inside of the body using a thin, flexible tube equipped with a light and camera—called an endoscope. This advanced technique allows our specialists to diagnose, monitor, and treat various conditions without the need for major surgery.

Endoscopy can help detect and treat a wide range of issues, including:

  • Digestive problems (e.g., acid reflux, ulcers, Crohn’s disease)

  • Unexplained abdominal pain or bleeding

  • Chronic cough or difficulty swallowing

  • Screening for cancer or polyps

  • Removal of small growths or foreign objects

Gastroscopy

Also known as an upper endoscopy. During a gastroscopy procedure, the doctor inserts a tube with a tiny camera at the end into the mouth, down the oesophagus and into the stomach.

Colonoscopy

Colonoscopy is the main test used in the investigation and diagnosis of bowel cancer. It involves the use of a tiny camera on the end of a long flexile tube. This enables the doctor to examine the entire length of the large bowel.

Endoscopic Ultrasound

Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) is an advanced, minimally invasive procedure that combines endoscopy and ultrasound to obtain detailed images of the digestive tract and surrounding organs. It is particularly useful for evaluating conditions that are difficult to detect with standard imaging techniques.
