Tonsillectomy & Adenoidectomy

Tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy are common surgical procedures performed to remove the tonsils and adenoids—lymphoid tissues located at the back of the throat and behind the nose, respectively. These procedures are often recommended for both children and adults who experience recurrent throat infections, obstructive sleep apnea, difficulty breathing, or chronic tonsil and adenoid inflammation that does not respond to medical treatment.

Grommets

Grommets, also known as tympanostomy tubes or ventilation tubes, are small tubes inserted into the eardrum to help drain fluid and equalize pressure in the middle ear. This minor surgical procedure is commonly recommended for both children and adults who experience recurrent ear infections (otitis media) or persistent fluid buildup (otitis media with effusion) that affects hearing and does not resolve with medical treatment.

Nose & Sinus Disorders

Our ENT specialists provide comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of nose and sinus disorders affecting both children and adults. Common conditions include nasal obstruction, chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, deviated nasal septum, allergic rhinitis, snoring, sleep apnea, and nasal trauma (including broken nose). These issues can significantly impact breathing, sleep quality, sense of smell, and overall quality of life.

General Ear Disorders

Common conditions we manage include ear blockage (due to wax impaction or fluid buildup), recurrent or chronic ear infections (otitis externa and otitis media), tinnitus (ringing in the ears), balance problems, and various types of hearing loss. Prompt diagnosis and management of ear conditions are essential to prevent complications such as long-term hearing damage or persistent discomfort. Whether you're experiencing pain, fullness, or hearing difficulties, we provide personalized, evidence-based care to support your ear health and overall quality of life.

Throat & Voice Disorders

Dr Tran diagnoses and treats a variety of throat and voice disorders that can affect speaking, swallowing, and overall throat comfort. Common conditions include hoarseness or voice changes, chronic throat clearing, globus sensation (the feeling of a lump or tightness in the throat), vocal cord nodules or polyps, and swallowing difficulties. Voice disorders can result from overuse, infection, inflammation, or structural issues within the larynx.  Globus symptoms are often linked to muscle tension, reflux, or subtle irritation of the throat tissues.

Endocsopic Sinus Surgery

Endoscopic sinus surgery is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat chronic sinus conditions that do not respond to medical therapy. This includes chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, recurrent infections, and anatomical blockages such as a deviated septum or narrowed sinus openings. The procedure is performed using a thin, flexible tube with a camera (endoscope) inserted through the nostrils, allowing the surgeon to view and access the sinus passages without external incisions, improving drainage pathways, and restores normal sinus function.

Nasal Airway Surgery

Nasal airway surgery addresses structural abnormalities that obstruct normal breathing through the nose. This includes correction of a deviated septum, repair of nasal valve collapse, and reconstruction following nasal trauma. These conditions can cause chronic nasal congestion, difficulty breathing, snoring, sleep disruption, and recurrent sinus infections. It is typically performed under local or general anesthesia, depending on the complexity of the procedure and patient preference. The surgery is usually done through the nostrils without any external incisions, making it minimally invasive and allowing for quicker recovery.

Functional Septo-Rhinoplasty

Functional septo-rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that combines septoplasty (straightening of the nasal septum) with rhinoplasty (reshaping of the nose) to improve both nasal function and appearance, when needed. The primary aim of this surgery is to restore normal breathing by correcting internal nasal structures that obstruct airflow.

Performed under general anesthesia, the surgery typically involves realignment or removal of deviated septal cartilage and bone, correction of external nasal deformities, reshape cartilage and bone, and strengthen the nasal framework, grafts.
